The design is built around the phrase “BECOMING HUMANS”, inspired by the character of Pinocchio and the theme of growth as a shared journey. The play lines coexist with graphics that span the entire space, making it instantly recognisable. Colour is not decoration, but structure: it organises the space and holds together function and message. The result is a playground designed to be used every day, but also to remain as a visible sign of a joint effort, between those who have arrived and those who inhabit this space.

The trip to Nairobi was SAB’s first venture outside Europe, but above all a change of pace and perspective. Long days of relentless heat and a night of torrential rain that turned everything to mud, followed by a return to the field the next morning to start all over again.

Working at Still I Rise International School means being in a place that brings together education and real opportunities, in a complex city where every initiative carries a different weight. The project took shape in this way, through work, discussions with the local team and moments shared with the students, who followed every stage closely, making the camp their own even before it was finished.
